Visa and Arrival Accommodations

Thailand allows foreigners from forty eight different counties, from around the world, with valid passports are allowed to enter the country without a updated visa. Canada is one of those countries. However this only applies to travelers that are only intending to stay in Thailand for less then thirty day visit. If you are staying are for more then thirty day you must apply for a visa. You may also go into neighboring countries immigration check points and stay there up to fifteen day before you have to return back to Thailand.  For people that are traveling to Thailand with out a visa must provide there own source on money. I am staying in Thailand for only one month so I don’t need a visa and am plainsong on bringing my own money!

Arrival Accommodation

When you are a budget traveler a five star hotel is usually not in your price range. Hotels may seem cheap at first but the bill can add up pretty quickly. An excellent alternative, to staying at a hotel could be staying at a hostel. A hostel is just like a hotel except you may have to share bed rooms and washrooms with strangers. Hostels are generally cheaper ,but you don’t get the privacy or conferred of a hotel room. The hostel I will be staying at is called the Khaosan Road Rainbow Hostel. This hostel is located in Thailand’s capital Bangkok. IT IS JUST OFF OF THE FAMOUS Khaosan road. The dorm room that I will be sharing with seven other people cost $5.06 Canadian and 158.350 in Thai Baht. I intend on staying for 30 days , July. 27^th 2012 to August. 28^th  2012, so I my total balance due at the end on that month will be $151.08 Canadian or 4,727.98 in Thai Baht. The Khaosan Road Rainbow Hostel has a lounge or reception area, dorms and restaurants. The food is not included. Other thing that come with the hostel are ,24 Hour Reception, Security, Air Conditioning, Bar, Cable TV , cafe , Card Phones, Fax Service, Free Internet Access, Linen Included, Lockers, Luggage Storage, Postal Service, for hire .A Bed with basic sheets and towels will be provided by the hostel. The overall rating for this hostel is 67%. This is determined by a costumers experience. The security was rated 67% staff was rated 78% and fun was rated 63%. Overall this hostel was had good rating and seem like a good place to stay for my trip.
